Watch pursued gunman fire 80 rounds at cops on freeway

Last week, a gunman who tried to get onto an Army base led Missouri police on a high-speed chase down an interstate while shooting an AK-47 wildly at pursuing cruisers. Here's the view from inside the closest police car.
Cody Willcoxson was stopped on Thursday attempting to enter Fort Leonard Wood; after military police attempted to detain him, Wilcoxson fled in his Dodge Magnum wagon. The video above is taken from the dash of a St. Robert, Mo., police cruiser driven by deputy Trenton Herr, picking up just before Wilcoxson hits I-44.

From there to Rolla, Mo., — a 25-mile stretch of rural interstate — Wilcoxson sped from police at speeds hitting 120 mph. About 2:40 into this video, Herr reports the first shots fired from Wilcoxson's Magnum; later into the chase, Wilcoxson starts spraying bullets from his sunroof and the Magnum's back hatch. The shots disabled the cruiser of St. Robert's police chief, but Herr is able to keep up the pursuit while weaving around traffic.

Only after getting into Rolla and running over a stop strip does the chase end with Wilcoxson hitting another vehicle, then a barricade. Wilcoxson fled onto the campus of Missouri University of Science and Technology. SWAT officers pursued Wilcoxson across campus, where he later carjacked another vehicle and attempted to flee before finally being apprehended four hours after the hunt began.

Police estimate Wilcoxson fired more than 80 rounds during the pursuit, and reloaded while behind the wheel. Amazingly, no one — the police, bystanders or Wilcoxson himself — was injured in the chase.

What started the spree isn't clear, but police now say Wilcoxson wasn't trying to get onto the Army base —he just took a wrong turn into the base's entrance.

JOKE: A couple had been divorced for about six months

A couple had been divorced for about six months, but still remained good friends. This worked out pretty good since they lived in the same apartment building.

One day he slipped on the ice and broke his arm. Later he met his ex-wife in the elevator, and she asked if there was anything she could to help.

He responded, "Well yes, if it's not too much trouble, could you help me take a bath?"

She readily agreed and soon after she began washing him, she saw a gradual erection begin to appear.

"Look John," she exclaimed happily! "It still recognizes me!"

Well not exactly.

Shocked staff watched as the man tried to get on the train at Wrexham General station with the white pony in tow

After a conductor refused him entry, the man returned to the ticket booth where he tried to buy two tickets - for himself and the animal.

Arriva Trains Wales (ATW) said horses were not permitted on safety grounds. The RSPCA said it was concerned and was viewing the CCTV tapes.

The man tried to travel on Saturday's 1902 BST service to Holyhead on Anglesey with his four-legged companion.

The ATW spokeswoman said: "Arriva Trains Wales allows dogs and small animals to travel on board trains.

"All animals, except dogs, must be conveyed within a fully enclosed basket or pet carrier with dimensions not exceeding 85 x 60 x 60cm.

'Politely asked to leave'
"Large animals, including horses and ponies, which may pose a risk to the general public are not permitted travel."

She said the man later left the station with the animal, adding: "I'm not aware that anything like this has happened before."

Meanwhile, it later emerged the man and pony turned up at the accident and emergency unit at Wrexham Maelor Hospital, asking for treatment for the animal from doctor.

A health board spokesman added: "He was politely asked to leave the premises by the Security Guard and duly left, taking the pony with him."

In a statement, the RSPCA said of the station incident it was "not a safe nor acceptable manner in which to transport an equine."

It added: "The pony could have been injured or could have caused injury to passengers.

"Horse owners require passports to move their animals and they should be housed in a safe and secure environment when transported.

"The RSPCA inspectorate are currently viewing the images which have been released to the media."

Mom runs over daughter after fight in Walmart parking lot

A mother in Sandusky is facing charges, accused of running over her 19-year-old daughter in a Walmart parking lot.

Police say Michelle Touma was fighting with her daughter Emily before the incident. Surveillance video shows the girl getting out of the car and hitting the hood. Then mom pulls forward, clipping the teen.

Officers say the mom claims she was going to drive by with her window down and smack her daughter in the head in retaliation for striking the vehicle. Instead, Michelle knocks Emily to the ground, runs over the girl's foot, then gets out of the car.

Area mothers say kids need discipline, but not that kind. "That's outrageous. That's your child. No matter what they did or said you shouldn't react like that," said one mother.

The teen was treated for her injury and released. As for her mom, she's charged with aggravated vehicular assault and domestic violence.

A man was charged with abusing and neglecting his mother after deputies found the malnourished, sick woman living in a tool shed behind his property. Deputies arrested Pastro Jang-Sung Park, 54, on Sunday after they discovered his mother, Sei Hee Park, 84, living in dangerous conditions in a shed behind a multi-unit building in Dania, Florida, according to a Broward Sheriff's Office complaint affidavit.

Pastro Park was charged with abuse of the elderly or disabled with bodily injury. At a court hearing on Monday, Broward County Judge John "Jay" Hurley set bond at $5,000 and ordered him to have no contact with his mother. According to the affidavit, deputies responded on Sunday evening to a call about a landlord-tenant dispute involving Pastro Park.

The tenant told deputies that an elderly woman was living in the shed, apparently without food, water, air conditioning or toiletries, and that she needed medical attention. The deputies found Sei Park lying on a bed in the shed, "With injury to her head, worm burrowing into her neck, malnutritioned and dehydrated," the affidavit said.

Pastro Park later told investigators he put his mother in the shed so he could rent out her room. Rescuers took Sei Park to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood. At Monday's bond hearing, Pastro Park told Hurley he emigrated from Korea in 1997. He said he holds a part-time security position and works as a tutor at Broward College.

JOHOR BARU, MALAYSIA: A 49-year-old taxi driver brought along his wife and five children, including a baby girl, to rob a petrol station in Bandar Baru Permas Jaya near here on Saturday.

Although he armed his three sons and a daughter, aged between 8 and 15, with swords and parang, all they took were cigarettes and chocolates.

Wearing kopiah (skull caps) and jubah, the man and his sons brandished the weapons and tried to attack a police team as they made their getaway.

They then led police on a 15km chase before surrendering at 2.03pm.

Johor Baru South police chief Assistant Commissioner Zainuddin Yaacob yesterday described the case as "off the wall" as it involved the whole family, including minors.

Police were investigating the family's motive for committing the crime, he added.

He said the man was earlier involved in an assault involving his 25-year-old nephew.

Zainuddin said the nephew had lodged a police report, claiming that he sustained four stitches to his head after being attacked with a parang.

A police team went to the suspect's house in Bandar Baru Permas Jaya to investigate.

However, the family quickly left in a taxi driven by the suspect just as the police team arrived at the house.

The family even gave a warning by waving parang while leaving.

With police on their tail, the family drove to the petrol station nearby and robbed it.

While his 37-year-old wife and 16-month-old baby remained in the taxi, the man told his 8-year-old son, who had a parang, to look out for police.

and three other children went inside the station and stole four packs of cigarettes and chocolates.

Zainuddin said police, who had tailed the family to the station, asked the suspect and his family to surrender.

They waved their weapons at police before escaping, he added.

"After following them for about 15km in Jalan Pasir Pelangi, the team intercepted the car near Taman Pelangi and urged them to surrender.

"We seized six parang , a vegetable knife and a wooden baton from the suspects."

He said the father and his children had allegedly shoplifted food items, drinks and cigarettes at the same outlet on two occasions on Friday He said the family did not have criminal conviction or arrest record .
