The two other men both yelled "ooooooooooooooooohh" while covering their genitals. "That is the worst pain I can ever imagine, what can be worse than that?"

And then the third man says. "When I came to the end of the chain."

Veterinarian rescued after horse falls asleep on her

The veterinarian was called out on Saturday night to free a horse which had become tangled in a fence on a farm in Crediton, Devon England.

However, when she sedated the animal it fell asleep on top of her and she had to be rescued by firefighters.

The vet was uninjured by the bizarre incident and the horse is now recovering after being cut free from the fence.

Jim Laker, the station manager who co-ordinated the rescue for Devon and Somerset Fire Rescue Service, explained how the incident unfolded.

He said: "One of the vets got herself caught between the horse and the ditch, but she's fine and we got her out.

"They [the two vets] were concerned about whether the horse had sustained some neck injuries, and if it had some fluid on the lungs.

"The vets were not sure of the state of the young mare, but we managed to achieve the rescue with the horse, but whether it's initial injuries were severe they couldn't tell in the dark."

An anonymous tip left with management at a Meriden, Connecticut condo complex unraveled an alleged 15-year prostitution business and led police to a stash of more than half a million dollars, according to news reports.

Kim Wroblewski, 54, a petite woman with long blond hair, lived in one Meriden apartment and rented an apartment at the Brittania Commons condos for $1,000 a month, where she is accused of running a prostitution business, police told the Meriden Record-Journal.

She took clients between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m., police told the newspaper, and told residents that she worked nights as a nurse.

Sgt. Leonard Caponigro said people in the area were reporting people coming and going, especially males, who would stay an hour and leave.

"We haven't seen a case quite like this in a while," Detective John Williams told the Record-Journal. "It's extremely complex and she kept very meticulous records. We are still conducting interviews and will file a supplemental report in a few weeks."

As police investigated, they found $31,000 in cash and ledgers of business transaction, and they seized $650,000 from bank accounts related to the business, police told the newspaper.

Wroblewski was charged with prostitution, second-degree promoting prostitution, possession of narcotics and possession of narcotics within 1,500 feet of a school.

Robber stopped to count loot outside police station

An 18-year-old man is accused of a robbing a woman at gunpoint before counting the stolen money outside a Chicago police station on the West Side. Jermaine Howard, of the 4800 block of West Adams Street, was charged with armed robbery with a firearm, a felony, police said. The man allegedly robbed the woman at the Kedzie Avenue CTA Pink Line station near 19th Street and Kedzie Avenue about 10:30 a.m. Wednesday as he was getting off a train. The robber fell down the stairs as he was being chased by the woman, who had also been on the train.

A witness, Munchie Wade, said he was waiting for a bus outside the station when he heard footsteps on the stairs and saw the robber fall. "She (the woman) was saying, 'Help! Help! I'm getting robbed!,' " said Wade, 18. The woman and the robber struggled for the purse and he pulled out a .22-caliber revolver, police said. The woman pleaded for her purse back, so the robber just took her wallet, police said.

Wade called 9-1-1 on his cell phone but said he also followed the robber on foot and noticed when the suspect stopped in front of the Ogden District station at 3315 W. Ogden Ave. Wade said he walked into the police station and told a female officer about the robbery and that the robber was in front of the station. The officer, Wade said, then referred him to an officer sitting in a police SUV in front of the station. Wade said he opened the door to the SUV and told the officer about the robbery. "He's right here. He's counting the money," Wade recalled telling the officer as the robber walked in front of the police station.

Wade said the officer got out of the SUV and the robber tried to run away by crossing the street. But the officer caught up to the robber on foot about 10:45 a.m. and subdued him with a Taser, Wade and police said. The money was recovered and the gun seized, police said. The woman was not hurt. "I was trying to do the right thing and help the young lady out," said Wade, who missed his bus.

Woman's Wallet Returned With More Money Inside

CONCORD, N.H.
A Concord woman who lost her wallet just days after giving birth received a welcome surprise from a stranger.

Nicole Parizo said she assumed her wallet was gone for good until she got a phone call from a man who'd just received a backpack as a gift from Target.

The man said he found her wallet in the backpack that Parizo had returned.

After her wallet was returned, Parizo found the man had left $150 inside.

"I e-mailed him and said, 'Thank you so much, I just opened my wallet.' And he said, 'You're very welcome, I know what it's like, I have four kids,'" said Parizo.

"And he said, 'All I ask, is that in returned you do something nice for somebody else,' she said.

On Saturday, Parizo spotted a bone marrow drive for Adam Castle, a Concord father of three suffering from Leukemia.

Parizo chose to join the bone marrow registry and said she thought about the man who reached out to her, while doing so.

JOKE: An elderly couple

An elderly couple, still very loving after all these years, was shocked when the woman's doctor said she had a heart condition that could kill her at any time.

She had to avoid stress, eat right, and never have sex again, or the strain might kill her.

They reluctantly tried to live by those rules but, over time, both got really horny, so the husband decided to sleep on the downstairs couch to prevent temptation.

For a few weeks, this arrangement worked; until one night, about 1 a.m., when they met each other on the stairs -- she coming down, he heading up.

"Honey, I have to confess," she said, her voice quavering. "I was about to commit suicide."

"Glad to hear that, sweetie," he answered, "because I was just coming up to kill you!"
