A street crossing in China is called "death street", as there is at least one accident per day there.

Mr. Chen, a tobacco shop owner at the corner of Fanfu Street in Changsha, capital of Hunan province, said he has got a habit that once he hears a crashing sound, he or his staff would dash out to shoot the scene, which must be an accident.

Chen said he has counted 65 car accidents within 54 days, and on one outstanding day there were four accidents at the crossing.

"The street was just opened at the end of last year. At first I just noticed that there was a lot of accidents, but never thought of counting it," said Chen.

Chen started to count the accidents from this March, and the count result astonished him that within 54 days there are 65 car accidents; an average of 1.2 accidents a day.

Chen said Fanfu Street is really wide, and the vehicles are running really fast and often neglecting the lights.

"I don't know if one day I would become the victim on this street," said Chen.
