Police Car No Place For A Beer
Florida teen popped open can of Steel Reserve inside cruiser
Meet Tasha Lee Cantrell. The 19-year-old Floridian was riding in a car early Monday morning when the vehicle's driver was pulled over and arrested for DUI. As a tow truck arrived to remove her friend's car, a stranded Cantrell asked Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office Deputy Mitchell Landis for a ride home to her Fort Walton Beach residence. Landis agreed, but only after checking Cantrell's purse for any contraband, according to an offense report.
While chauffeuring Cantrell, Landis heard the teenager "open a can of some sort" in the back of the cruiser. "As I looked at my in car video I observed Cantrell drinking out of an unknown can." Landis stopped his car and, upon further investigation, determined that Cantrell had popped open a can of Steel Reserve, a malt liquor known for its high alcohol content. "When I opened the rear passenger door I observed Cantrell attempting to hide the can between her legs. I retrieved this can and noticed it was Steel Reserve Beer," reported Landis, who immediately arrested Cantrell for underage drinking.
Instead of being shuttled to her doorstep, Cantrell, pictured in the below mug shot, was rerouted to the sheriff's office, where she was booked on the misdemeanor charge.
Michigan father left kids in car for two days while he drank
Two little boys are safe at home with their mother after sheriff's deputies say their father left them in a car with no food for up to two days while he was out drinking. That father, 27-year-old Richard Labo of Hillsdale, is in the Jackson County Jail after being arraigned on two felony counts of second-degree child abuse.
"He'd picked them up from their mother's house on Thursday, driven around for a couple of days partying, while they were in the back of the vehicle," explained Lt. Brad Piros of the Jackson County Sheriff's Office.
Piros says Labo's little boys - aged just four and six - were found hungry and upset early on Sunday morning in a 1994 Pontiac Grand Prix. "The kids indicated they'd had a little bit of candy to eat over the period of two days," Piros says.
"There were beer cans located in the vehicle. Six to eight empties, also two half-full beer cans located in between the two front seats," he says.
Deputies don't know where this alleged drinking bender started, but they do know where it ended: Gypsy's in Summit Township. That's where they say someone saw the little guys sleeping in the car all alone and called 911.
Both Labo and his brother, Eric, were arrested at the scene, but Eric will not face charges because he's not legally obligated to the kids. The boys were taken by deputies, given something to eat, then returned to their mother. Authorities say Labo could face eight years in prison for his weekend of mistakes.
Tiger Woods Slept with Neighbor's Daughter
Tiger Woods didn't have to go far from home to sleep with women.
As Woods continues to prepare for the Masters this week, his neighbor's daughter has come forward saying she bedded the superstar golfer -- having sex with him on a couch near where a crib for one of his kids had been placed.
Raychel Coudriet, now 22, met Woods for the first time when she was just 14 and later had a one-night stand with him, The National Enquirer reported today.
The supermarket tabloid claims the sexual encounter left Coudriet "shaken and humiliated" when it took place last year on a couch in his office just a mile from his Florida home
Tiger hit on the girl in his car -- just yards from where his wife Elin Nordegren was taking care of his kids.
The newspaper reported that Coudriet went into a rage when it was revealed over the past few months that Woods had bedded other women.
The revelations led Coudriet, a college student, to corner Tiger last month while she was home for spring break.
"I feel extremely violated by what you did to me!" Coudriet reportedly told Woods.
"Sorry about that," responded Tiger, who recently attended a sex rehab clinic in an effort to mend his marriage.
Woods had apparently had his eye on the girl for some time, according to the newspaper.
He invited her to play golf and even made a crude joke about her "cleaning his golf balls," a source told The Enquirer.
"She was infatuated with him. They exchanged phone numbers. ... Then he began texting her," said the source.
He began making out with Coudriet inside his SUV Escalade -- the same car he would crash in his driveway on Thanksgiving weekend when his life became unraveled -- just yards from his home in Isleworth, Fla. He then took the girl to his office so they could have some privacy.
"The two of them had sex on a couch for hours -- right next to a crib for Tiger's children," added the source. "The crib made Raychel feel guilty -- that she was having sex with a married man with children. But she was smitten."
The girl reportedly told friends that Woods did not use a condom and that the sex was "mechanical and unemotional."
The supermarket tabloid reported that Woods texted the girl many times looking for a repeat romp -- even asking her to fly with him to Michigan so they could have sex using Ambien sleeping pills.
Woods has admitted to taking Ambien to help him sleep after his father died.
"But Raychel felt ashamed. ... She refused to hook up with him," the source said.
That led Tiger to text her: "When are you coming home again? I want to see you. What are you doing right now? Are you touching yourself? I want to f--- you."
The source said Coudriet told her that when other women came forward recently saying they had slept with Woods, she felt "so stupid."
"I felt used and violated," the source claims Coudriet said. "like I meant nothing to him but a night of casual sex. I just wanted to dig a big hole, crawl in and die."
'Inappropriate' Easter outfit blamed in death
When a teenage cousin showed up at Evelyn Burgess' house for Easter dinner wearing what Burgess considered a revealing outfit, the hostess was not going to let the issue go.
According to family members who were present, Burgess got mad when her husband took notice of the T-shirt and jean shorts that Danielle Pickens was wearing.
Burgess and Danielle Pickens fought before Pickens walked outside and got into a car in front of the Linden-area house.
Burgess followed, pointed a handgun at her 19-year-old second cousin and shot her in the head, according to police.
Burgess, 42, told police that Pickens showed up at her house in an outfit that "was inappropriate and disrespectful to wear at Easter dinner," said Columbus homicide detective Steven Eppert.
He said Burgess told investigators "she didn't mean to shoot" Pickens, who was wounded at 8:43 p.m. in front of 1666 Manchester Ave.
Pickens, who lived nearby on Pontiac Street, died at Riverside Methodist Hospital at 2 a.m. yesterday of a gunshot wound in the head, said Franklin County Coroner Jan Gorniak.
Burgess is charged with one count of murder. During her initial court appearance today, Franklin County Municipal Court Judge William Pollitt set bond at $500,000.
Eppert said a large number of family members and friends were at Burgess' house during the confrontation and "quite a few were witnesses" to the shooting.
Yesterday, several family members gathered at Pickens' house. Her cousin, Tico Pickens, 33, described Danielle as a "sweet, young, caring person."
"And what happened to her should have never happened," he said.
Eppert said Burgess does not appear to have a criminal record.
JOKE: Two Irish lovers are sitting on a bench
Two Irish lovers are sitting on a bench, in a park. They are holding hands, but the lady is nervously twisting her hands.
Mary: "Patrick. I have something to tell you."
Patrick: "Well, what's on your mind? You know you can tell me everything."
Mary: "It's so terrible."
Patrick: "You know you can trust me. What is it?"
Mary: "Well, it was a few years ago. Father lost his job, and no money in sight.."
Patrick: "So, what is it?"
Mary: "Oh. We were so desperate. For some time I had to turn ... prostitute!"
Patrick: "WHAT!"
Mary: "We needed the money so bad!"
Patrick: "There is no good reason for this! Endangering your very soul! How could you? YOU! Mary, this is more than I can stand!"
Mary: "Not you, Pat! No! I thought you'd understand. I thought you could still love me, even though I had been a whore."
Patrick: "Oh! ...You... Well, that's ok. For a moment I thought you said 'protestant'!"
