Boy, 11, charged with breaking mom's arm
FORT MYERS, FL -
Deputies arrested an 11-year-old Fort Myers boy after he reportedly broke his mom's arm during a fight at their home Saturday.
Matthew Dunn was booked into the Lee County Jail on a charge of felony battery.
Dunn's mother said the boy became upset when she and her boyfriend began talking about Dunn's father at the dining room table Saturday evening, according to an arrest report.
The boy reportedly stood up from the table, threw it over and then started striking his mom as she tried to calm him down.
Dunn's anger escalated, prompting his mother and the rest of the family to run out of the home, the report said. That's when the boy reportedly followed her, threw a rock at her and then twisted her arm.
The woman's boyfriend intervened, and as she ran back inside Dunn threw a golf ball through the window of the home, deputies said.
He then began to take his anger out on himself, hitting his head against a tree, according to the report.
EMS arrived on scene and determined the woman had sustained a broken arm. She was taken to Lee Memorial Hospital for treatment.

VIDEO: Glacier collapse rocks tourist boat
Panic ensued when a huge glacier disintegrated next to a tour boat in Alaska.
The boat was taking tourists through the Tracy Arm Fjord, a deep fjord over 30 miles long in the Tracy Arm-Fords Terror Wilderness in Alaska.
When a large chunk of ice fell off the side of a nearby glacier there was panic aboard the tourist boat and one woman reportedly broke her leg.
Apart from the dangers of falling ice, collapsing icebergs may also cause tidal waves that can tip small boats over.

A Chinese high-wire artist lost his footing as he attempted to walk across a tightrope 100m above the ground - with no safety net.
Strong winds left Saimaiti Aishan dramatically clinging on to the 15m-long steel wire in front of stunned onlookers in China's Hunan Province.
The wire was attached to two hot air balloons - which were affected by the wind force and direction.
After successfully walking across the wire at 30m in just five minutes, Saimaiti took on the 100m challenge.
But the balloons slowly fell down to the ground and Saimaiti Aishan failed the challenge.
'Dawazi' - or high-wire walking - is a traditional folk stunt with a long history in Xinjiang, China.
